What makes IGY6 different from other providers?

Do I need a mental health diagnosis to access IGY6 services?
No. A diagnosis is not required. We support veterans and NDIS participants seeking help with transition, mindset, motivation, or life direction — whatever stage you’re at.
Can I choose my practitioner?
Yes. We match you with the right practitioner based on your goals and preferences. You’re welcome to request a change at any time — your comfort is our priority.
Where is IGY6 located?
Our main office is at 401 Nepean Highway, Chelsea VIC, and we are expanding our services throughout Queensland and beyond. Telehealth services are available nationally.
Do you offer group programs or workshops?
Yes. We run group programs that foster connection, peer support, and confidence-building for both veterans and NDIS participants. Sessions may include life skills, wellbeing, or peer-led activities, and some are co-designed with participants.
What if I’m not sure what I need?
No worries. You don’t need to have all the answers. Reach out to book a discovery session or intake call — we’ll talk through your needs and help you explore your options.
Do you offer support for female veterans or underrepresented groups?
Yes. IGY6 is inclusive and culturally safe. We welcome all eligible veterans, ADF members, and NDIS participants regardless of gender, background, or identity. Your story matters here.
Can IGY6 help me apply for the NDIS as a veteran?
Absolutely. We can support eligible veterans through the NDIS access process, including assessments, evidence collection, and application assistance.
Can I still access IGY6 if I’m currently serving in the ADF?
Yes, provided you have an eligible White DVA card. We support current serving members with confidential services focused on maintaining wellbeing, mindset, and planning for future transitions.
Do I need a GP referral to access IGY6 services?
Yes. A GP referral is required to access DVA-funded services. Our team can help you understand what’s needed and guide you through the process.
What if I live in a remote or regional area?
That’s no problem. Our telehealth services are available Australia-wide, so you can access support no matter where you live — all you need is a phone or internet connection.
What is involved in the intake process?
Once you reach out, we’ll arrange a discovery session to learn about your goals. We’ll then match you with the right practitioner and develop a tailored support plan. The process is friendly, flexible, and stress-free.
What if I’m already working with another provider or rehab consultant?
That’s absolutely fine. With your consent, we’ll collaborate with your GP, rehab consultant, or other providers to make sure your care is coordinated and aligned with your goals.
How long do your programs run for?
Programs are tailored to your needs. Some veterans engage with us for 12-24 weeks, while others stay connected longer. We focus on achieving meaningful outcomes at your pace.
Is there a waitlist?
We currently have immediate capacity for many services, especially via telehealth. In-person availability may vary by location — contact us to check availability and secure your spot.
How do you ensure privacy and confidentiality?
We comply with all Australian privacy laws and health regulations. Your information is stored securely and never shared without your consent (unless required by law). We treat your story with the utmost respect.
What does “IGY6” mean?
“IGY6” stands for “I’ve Got Your 6” — a military term meaning “I’ve got your back.” The “6” refers to the six o’clock position — your most vulnerable point. At IGY6 Foundation, it’s more than a phrase — it’s a commitment.
