Our CEO
Meet our Founder & CEO
Cristina Leme is a natural multi-tasker who has built a life defined by purpose, resilience, and compassion — balancing her professional ambitions with her personal journey as a proud mother, partner, and community advocate.
A devoted mother of two, Lucas (born 2005) and Bianca (born 2010), Cristina considers her children her greatest personal achievements and constant inspiration to help others find purpose and joy in life.
Cristina’s professional journey has been as diverse as it is inspiring. As a Rotary Club exchange student, she studied in the United States twice, later working for nine years as a tour guide at Disney World Florida, where she developed strong leadership and communication skills in a global environment. Her service and dedication were recognised through the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Award from Rotary International for a project she designed in her mid-20s to assist homeless young adults — teaching them everything from basic hygiene to computer literacy, and connecting them with organisations to help them secure their first jobs.
Having lived and worked in the United Kingdom, and travelled extensively across Europe, Cristina brings a worldly perspective to her work. Fluent in five languages, she embodies cultural understanding and connection — values that continue to shape her leadership today.
Her commitment to the community and advocacy for inclusion led to nominations as Kingston Council’s Woman of the Year in 2020 and 2021, recognising her outstanding contributions to the disability sector.
Cristina’s personal life is also a reflection of her values. She shared an incredible bond with her beloved greyhound Zuca, who passed away in November 2024. Zuca’s gentle spirit and unconditional love left an everlasting mark on her heart. Today, she finds joy in the company of Dexter, a playful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a special 15th birthday gift for Bianca. Dexter now joins Cristina at the office every day and has quickly become part of the IGY6 family, adored by staff, clients, and visitors alike for his loving and calming presence.
Cristina is also immensely proud of her partner, a veteran, whose strength, integrity, and honesty continue to inspire her both personally and professionally. His life experience and service have deepened her understanding of the challenges veterans face, further fueling her dedication to the mission of the I’ve Got Your 6 Foundation — to help veterans and NDIS participants find purpose, belonging, and a positive mindset.
Through her leadership, Cristina brings together lived experience, compassion, and a global outlook — guiding the organisation with authenticity and heart.
A Passion for Leadership and Helping Others
Cristina Leme is a purpose-driven leader whose career blends strategic business acumen with a deep commitment to human connection and positive change.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication (Marketing and Advertising), a Postgraduate qualification in Business Marketing, and further specialisation in Marketing, PR & Advertising in the United Kingdom. In addition to her academic background, Cristina is a qualified Neuroscience Practitioner and has completed multiple certifications in personal development, including Professional DiSC Certification, Master Coaching Alliance, and Accredited Coaching Qualifications.
Throughout her career, Cristina has held executive roles in Marketing, Business Development, and General Management, as well as successfully running her own ventures. One of her most notable professional achievements was transforming a startup into a seven-figure enterprise — nearing eight figures — within just five years.
Her lifelong passion for helping others eventually inspired her to establish the I’ve Got Your 6 Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting veterans, people with disabilities, and their families. Through her leadership, Cristina continues to empower individuals to rebuild their confidence, develop resilience, and rediscover purpose.
A Personal Journey of Strength
Despite her professional success, Cristina’s journey has included significant personal challenges that have shaped her into the compassionate and resilient leader she is today. She has navigated mental health struggles, the pressures of leadership, and the emotional toll of major life transitions, including the end of a 20-year marriage. Balancing her responsibilities as a mother and professional tested her strength but also deepened her empathy for others facing adversity.
Through self-reflection, mental health support, and the guidance of a trusted mentor, Cristina transformed her mindset and rediscovered her inner balance. Today, she shares her experience openly as proof that growth and healing are possible for anyone willing to embrace change.
Passionate About Animals & Honouring Zuca
Cristina’s compassion extends beyond people to animals — especially dogs, who have always held a special place in her life. She recently experienced the heartbreaking loss of her beloved rescue greyhound, Zuca, whose gentle spirit brought comfort, companionship, and joy through life’s challenges. Zuca’s memory continues to inspire Cristina’s passion for animal welfare and rescue advocacy.
In her spare time, Cristina enjoys spending time with her children, riding motorbikes with her partner John (a proud veteran), visiting the movies, and caring for her “furry grandson” Dexter, the family’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who brings daily happiness and laughter to their lives.
