Psychology Services for Family Members of Veterans
At I’ve Got Your 6 Foundation (IGY6), we know that when one person serves, the whole family serves. Life alongside someone who has been in the Defence Force — or is living with the impact of service — can bring its own unique pressures, emotions, and adjustments.
Our psychology services for family members are here to support partners, children, and parents of current or former ADF members. You don’t have to go through it alone — we provide a safe, understanding space to talk openly, find clarity, and develop healthy ways to cope and reconnect.
Our psychologists truly understand what it’s like to be a partner, child, or parent of someone navigating Defence life or post-service challenges such as PTSD, anxiety, or emotional distance. We listen without judgment and focus on helping you regain stability, strength, and purpose in your own life.
Sessions may explore:- Understanding and managing stress, anxiety, or burnout.
- Improving communication and emotional connection within the family
- Building clarity, resilience, and confidence in daily life.
- Rediscovering purpose and balance beyond the caring role.
